Americano
  • 1 ounce Campari
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • soda water
Pour Campari and sweet vermouth into highball glass filled with ice and stir. Top with soda water and garnish with an orange wedge or twist of lemon.
Americano
Campari is one of those drinks that can often take a bit of getting used to. For those among us who are too squeamish to try this bitter elixer straight, the Americano might be a good gentle way to learn to appreciate all that Campari has to offer.

Similar to a Negroni, but substituting "Soda Water" for Gin, this drink has less of a kick, and if you are a little heavy handed with the Soda, can be a very good thirst quencher on a hot Sunday afternoon.
