Eastern Sour
DrinkBoy says: This recipe originally used lemon juice, but I changed it to lime since I not only feel it better reflects the "Eastern" name of this drink, but also because I think it tastes better.

One of the common aspects of the classic "Tiki" drink, is that in addition to the requisite spirits, it contains one or more juices, and often someting to sweeten it up a little bit. And nobody did Tiki, better then Trader Vic.

While perhaps better known for the Mai Tai, there were countless other unique libations that were served at his restaurants. The Eastern Sour is slightly different, in that instead of using Rum as it's base spirit, it uses Bourbon the American spirit.

The combination of Bourbon, with Orange, Lime, Orgeat, and sugar, create a string with a strong flavor as well as some interesting spicy undertones.
