Jasmine
DrinkBoy Says: If you like grapefruit juice, then you just might want to give this interesting blend of gin, cointreau, campari, and lemon juice a try

All too often, the "new and trendy" drinks that the common public flocks to are overly sweet, or just some random concoction made with the latest flavored vodka. But every once in a while you get introduced to a drink that breaks the mold and presents both a delightfully crisp flavor, but is also a well balanced drink that showcases what a real cocktail is all about.

The Jasmine is a relatively new drink, created in the 1990's by Paul Harrington in San Francisco and named after a patron who wanted Paul to mix up something different. It presents an interesting combination of flavors which tastes amazingly like grapefruit juice, even though it doesn't include any. And even though it has a gin base, the complexities of the flavors provides a great way to prove to the gin adverse drinker that a properly made gin cocktail doesn't have to taste like a pine-tree.
