Alfred A. Knopf
Jerry Thomas, inventor of the Blue Blazer, lists a large collection of cocktails, punches, mulls, cobblers, flips, fizzes, and others that are rarely seen anymore.
Originally published in 1862, and beset by scores of imitations as well as sorrowfully abridged editions. In my 1928 version, Herbert Asbury, the editor, claims to have compiled a faithful return to the original contents, as well as containing an expanded accounting of Jerry Thomas and his exploits.
