You won't find any of those fru-fru cocktails with silly names or funny ingredients here. If you are serious about learning about cocktails, then this book is a good choice.
An excellent introduction to the world of Quality Cocktails. The format of the book is perhaps as irreverant as its name, but buried within the pages of this little jewel is a wealth of insights and commentary from a dedicated participant of the Cocktail Culture. Suzanne has obviously done her research, brave soul that she is, into not only the origins of the individual cocktails she presents, but into the very mindset of the society that brought them to life.

The collection of cocktails presented is relatively small, but its clear focus on the classic cocktail is an enjoyable departure from other books that try to impress us with shear force of numbers.
