Bourbon
Bourbon whiskey is made from at least 51% corn. And by congressional proclamation, can only be made in the US.

Bourbon was first processed in Kentucky in the late 1700's, and shipped down the Mississippi from a port in Bourbon county. In those days it was originally referred to as "Whiskey from Bourbon", and of course it is easy to see how this eventually got shortened down to simply be Bourbon.
