Westmark Manual Ice Crusher

Basic

The other day, I was needing to crush some ice for iced coffee. I often would use my "ice tapper" that is a fun retro tool for this purpose, which I find works just slightly better than a barspoon. Both however make a bit of a mess. I remembered that I had an antique manual ice crusher, and discovered that it really worked well (one cube at a time). Amazingly, the German company that made them way back then, is still making them today! I wouldn't recommend this for a busy bar, but for home use it works great.
