DrinkBoy Says: This drink was created by Paul Harrington, who simply called it the "Drink Without A Name", so I decided to give it a more proper designation.

This drink provides a great example of how vodka can provide an excellent use in a cocktail. Without the vodka, the sweetness of the Cointreau, and the complex herbs of the Chartreuse would just be far too overpowering. When you add vodka to this cocktail, it softens down both of those flavors, without bringing any additional flavors of its own to the equation.

Chartreuse is an ingredient that I feel is greatly unappreciated in modern day cocktails. I expect that many people try it straight and find its flavors too strong on their palate, but when properly presented in a cocktail such as this, it can add a wonderful set of flavor layers that can finally be truely appreciated properly.
