Petruchio

Aperol was first introduced in 1919 at the first "Padova Fiere", a trade exhibition held in Padova Italy. Here in the US we know it better as "Padua", which was the setting for Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew". So I named this drink after the lead character "Petruchio".

Petruchio: 2 ounces gin; 1 ounce Aperol; 1 dash scotch whisky; Garnish: Orange Twist; Stir with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.; Source: Robert Hess (2008)
