Ritz Bijou

This drink was apparently created by Frank Meier, who was the bartender of the Ritz Hotel in Paris. The lack of Chartreuse makes this a significantly different cocktail than the normal Bijou, but it is still excellent.

Ritz Bijou: 1 1/2 ounces gin; 3/4 ounce dry vermouth; 3/4 ounce orange curaçao; 1 dash orange bitters; Garnish: Cherry; Stir with ice, strain into a cocktail glass.; Source: Frank Meier, The Artistry of Mixing Drinks, 1936
