Intro to Aperol
2 ounces Aperol
1 ounce gin (Beefeater)
3/4 ounce lemon juice
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Garnish: orange peel
Shake with ice, strain into a cocktail glass.

This drink, created by Audrey Saunders of the Pegu Club in New York, has become a mainstay of many bars across the country to introduce people to Aperol, the lower proof (and lighter tasting) cousin of Campari.
